What started as a series of cryptic hints has quickly spiraled into a full-blown investigation, with fans piecing together what appears to be Alix Earle’s potential next venture: a skincare line called Reale Actives. And if the clues are to be believed, this isn’t just a casual launch – it’s shaping up to be a carefully orchestrated, visually coded rollout. The speculation began when @wtfisalixdoing started dropping subtle, puzzle-like breadcrumbs across social. Think: fragmented visuals, recurring puzzle piece motifs, and a certain level of intentional ambiguity that immediately caught the attention of Earle’s hyper-engaged audience. It didn’t take long for followers to begin connecting the dots. Once they did, things escalated quickly. A key moment? A New York City billboard that felt anything but random. When paired with the ongoing puzzle imagery being revealed by select influncer’s Alix sent them to, fans began drawing a through-line to a recently surfaced trademark filing for the name Reale Actives. Coincidence? The internet doesn’t seem to think so. The design details […]

Spring Into Summer With Tesoro Azul: A Taste of Mexico in the Heart of LA https://thelagirl.com/spring-into-summer-with-tesoro-azul-a-taste-of-mexico-in-the-heart-of-la/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=spring-into-summer-with-tesoro-azul-a-taste-of-mexico-in-the-heart-of-la Tue, 05 Aug 2025 08:24:21 +0000 https://thelagirl.com/?p=23173 Spring has officially sprung in Los Angeles, and The LA Girl is already scouting the season’s trendiest brands, sunniest patios, and most unforgettable experiences. This week, all roads led to Mercado Gonzalez Market (an oofshoot of the beloved Northgate Market you’ve probably seen around LA) —a colorful, flavor-packed tribute to Little Mexico—for an exclusive celebration of Tesoro Azul, the premium tequila brand by none other than Latin music legend Marco Antonio Solís. With 154 colors in the tilework, a panadería scenting the air with fresh conchas, and hand-rolled tortilla chips crisping to perfection, the setting was pure sensory bliss before the main event even began. After guests explored the vibrant aisles of Northgate, they made their way past a built-in bar to a tucked-away private patio where the celebration truly came to life. Ceviche stations, fresh guacamole bars, crunchy chicharrones, and a variety of taco setups created a vibrant culinary landscape worthy of the season. Soon after, Marco Antonio Solís entered the space, taking a seat with fellow members of his iconic band Los Bukis and his elegant wife by his side. With music in the air and glasses raised, he spoke warmly about the inspiration behind Tesoro Azul and […]

Threading Artistry & Activism Through Tribecca with Elina Chauvet https://thelagirl.com/threading-artistry-activism-through-tribecca-with-elina-chauvet/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=threading-artistry-activism-through-tribecca-with-elina-chauvet Sat, 29 Mar 2025 01:01:28 +0000 https://thelagirl.com/?p=23152 Suppose you were traipsing through Tribeca on a cautiously pleasant Wednesday evening that dared you to reject the mid-week slump and embrace the freedom of your night. Chances are you stumbled upon the opening reception of Mexican visual artist Elina Chauvet’s new body of work, “Corazón al Hilo”, or “Heart in Thread”, presented by MAD54 and Galeria 1204 just in time for Women’s History Month.  Chauvet has been threading her needle and the color red through artistry and activism for over a decade. Her 2009 installation, “Zapatos Rojos”, meaning “Red Shoes,” gained international attention for its public denouncement of femicide. Chavet placed thirty-three pairs of red shoes, one in front of the other, down a major street in Juarez in honor of her sister and every woman who has been murdered because of their gender. Impactful is an understatement. Guests of Chauvet’s new exhibition, on display until March 29th, scaled the steep wooden steps to Tyler Loftis’ transformational studio space, expecting perhaps an intimate yet somewhat typical gallery showing. Instead, they were immersed in what could be a perfectly preserved 1920s New York City apartment: wood floors, amber lighting, and the artist herself at work on her knees, embroidering words […]

As Women’s History Month comes to a close (sad, but true), we were so happy to witness a global celebration of women embodying the essence of these ideals. On a windy morning in DTLA, we were so fortunate to meet a phenomenal group of women whose journeys are worth honoring, brought together by CEO & CNBC contributor, Sandra Campos,  a trailblazer in handing out honor when and where its due …especially to our fellow Latina community. Which is why Sandra has been so successful at putting together her event series: Latina Disruptors. A series  that highlights and celebrates the Latina’s that are making fabulous moves in their industries and changing the way women are seen in business. It was an afternoon of meaningful conversations and inspiring stories from top CEO’s and co-founders that revealed anything is possible if passion persists. Topics of their support systems, upbringing, and shameless moves kept the audience intrigued all afternoon. Keep scrolling to read more about the women we met and what they told us about how they’re keeping their voices (and their brands) truly amplified. Women’s History Month Spotlight: 10 Trailblazing Latinas Behind Our Favorite Brands https://thelagirl.com/womens-history-month-spotlight-meet-10-trailblazing-latinas-making-their-mark/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=womens-history-month-spotlight-meet-10-trailblazing-latinas-making-their-mark Sun, 02 Mar 2025 08:10:17 +0000 https://thelagirl.com/?p=17966 Happy International Women’s Day! This is by far one of our favorite times of the year and for good reason: we get to celebrate the women crushing it WORLDWIDE and also personally celebrate the women who have made that close to home impact in our lives. Women’s History Month is more than just a proclaimed holiday, it holds high significance to remember and honor the women who have broken down barriers, created change, advocated for themselves, and stand firm to have a voice in this world. Former President Barak Obama has once said that this holiday is a chance to “pay tribute to ordinary women throughout the world,” and that this day “reminds us that, while enormous progress has been made, there is still work to be done before women achieve true parity.” So much work to be made, but  let’s not forget the progress has been PHENOMENAL especially within the Latin community. Being a Latina owned publication (shoutout to our Editor-in-Chief Erika De La Cruz), we have loved discovering (and also meeting) the women who have become influentials and pioneers in front or behind the scenes of some of The LA Girl’s favorite businesses and brands. It’s a true accomplishment […]
